Some thoughts on the Oscars.
First, red. Red here, red, there, red red red everywhere. 2 straps, one-strapped, no straps, feathered, fluttery, fitted, simply stunning scarlet. Red was the color of the night. I wonder if those who didn't wear red felt left out. Like they didn't get the memo.
Second, movies. I liked the bit of all the past winners throughout the show. Especially the past winners for Best Picture. I'd like to make it a goal to watch all 80 by next years show. I'll keep you updated.
Third, lalalalove. Sososo in lalalalove with Marketa Irglova and Glen Hansard. Plus their smiling song, second speech and little movie---scratch that, little art, Once.

I made that same goal last night...we'll see if it happens, but it sure would be great!
Woah--that's a tough goal. You'd better get Netflicks because I can assure you Blockbuster will only have 500 copies of "Knocked Up."
I'll watch the first 40 with you until I move. I even have Netflix.
red really was the color huh.. but i hated daniel day lewis' wife dress, yikes. the bright red dresses with the bright red lips were fab. and i loved the movie review too. what classics there are that i've never seen!
I just love the dresses and the glamor and I like that they've gone away from wearing glorified slips to a more old-hollywood look. Nicole Kidman is always my favorite to watch.. she is just so elegant and I always love what she chooses to wear.
BLOG MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
That is such a great idea, I want in on watching the films. My rough calculation indicates that would be 1 film every 3.875 days or 1.739 movies per weekend.
I'm dying over that comment from Anonymous.
:) I agree.
fantastic goal! I am all for it...watching the classics is a great idea! I think the trick is to aim for 1 a week so you have a few extra weeks to catch up in case you've missed any.
I usually try to watch any pictures nominated in the 4 main categories prior but completely failed this year. My goal is to get those under my belt by next year.
I have to say, having managed to watch 'There Will Be Blood' yesterday, it was truly incredible.
