Lalalalove: Rrribit

In honor of leap year, I thought I'd post something about a frog.

I lalalalove this little frog prince. So much that I gave it to my husband for part of his wedding gift. I thought I was so clever, giving him a spot to hang his ring every night, before falling asleep with visions of me in his head. Problem is, he hasn't worn a wedding ring since our wedding day.

But that's another story for another time. To answer your immediate questions though...No, it does not bother me. Yes, it is a long story. Yes, we are still truly madly deeply. Yes, it is partially my fault.

Matt hasn't worn a wedding ring in 8 years. He just hates anything on his fingers (he is a very particular man). We are still very much in love though, so I don't think you should worry.

Sweet. I don't like to wear jewelry at home unless I'm going out becuase I always have my hands in paint or other goo of some kind. :)

Love the froggy though.

I can now officially consider myself a true friend since I know that story!

I think J's worn a wedding ring about 50% of our marriage. I'm the same as you - not bothered at all.

Short version of long story: G asks J to accept nuptials, J concedes, J plans wedding, G works brains out in NY, J continues to plan wedding (neglecting said marital hardware), G continues to work remainder of brains out, G and J rendezvous in the Great Basin to join in holy matrimony, J realizes absence of hardware, J and G run frantically through Fashion Place Mall 10 hours before ceremony, G finds satisfactory hardware at "Silver Loft" kiosk, G satisfies absence of hardware with $19.99 VISA transaction, G and J consumate nuptials, "Silver Loft" hardware very uncomfortable to G, G gives hardware to J who places it in outside pocket of purse, Hardware still in outside pocket of purse.

I like. We put ours on a little star with diamond eyes my mom gave me. I thought it was a bit cheezy, but hey, if Jamie Anne has one, it must be cool. Cool or not, it serves a purpose.

Haha! I love G's version of the story. I'll never forget all of us going to pizza the night before your wedding, and you guys skipping out to run to the mall!

It's especially funny that you thought through the detail of getting the FROG for the ring, but forgot about the other little detail...the actual ring!

I just stumbled across your blog via bloglines and love the great finds you post about. I should definitely purchase the adorable frog prince for my husband, as he has a habit of leaving his wedding ring in various spots around our house.

Uh, don't you work at a jewelry store? Go buy a ring...you can use it to decorate the condo!
