30 Ideas for December: Spice Things Up

Make a gingerbread house. If you're feeling ambitious (or lonely) make a whole flippin' neighborhood. We recently went to a gingerbread house-making party, and it was loads and loads of fun. Especially when we could use those pre-made kits that keep popping up these days (ours were from Costco). They smell good (but don't necessarily taste as good as they smell), and come with all the fixin's you could possibly imagine. Great great idea. A Holiday tradition made simple. Love it.

or you could do the ghetto-riffic graham cracker version i did with my preschoolers today. they actually turned out pretty cute.

I was just thinking we should do the gingerbread-house contest again, but then thought, I don't want to make gingrbread. And graham crackers, let's face it, are lame.

Perfect solution. Game on!

Do you think I could turn that pitch-perfect roof into a flat one? :)

I got one from Costco last year...and loved it. The pre-made kits are the best. I'm sure your gingerbread house got 1st place at the party.
