Playground of the Stars

I'm taking a regularly scheduled break from SLC in Palm Springs, CA. Probably my favorite place in the world. Second, of course, to Hawaii, Costa Rica, Mexico, Hong Kong, London, Venice, NYC, Nice, and the Italian Riviera. I'm sure I left a few out, but you get the idea. It's so relaxing. Sunshine, palm trees, convertibles, sunglasses, mid-century architecture, swimming pools, estate sales, and streets named after stars of a bygone era who called all this glory their playground. Now this is my kind of town.

Do you ever get to the outlets there? They have Coach, AG jeans, Barneys, Marc Jacobs, just to name a few. We are trying to make it out to Palm Desert before the snow comes and we're in the mountains every weekend.

Sounds like my kind of place. When can I come?

Pretend you're old! It's what you do best. (You'll of course do better once your other half arrives.)

And keep an eye out for size fives, please. :)

I have been lucky enough to enjoy Palm Springs and make like an old Person with Jamie and Old-Man Grant himself (early bird breakfast, getting nails done, outlet shopping, eating at chain restaurants, boo-ya!)

It is one good time. Nobody does that town better than Jamie and Grant...unless it's Harriett Anne. You may have met your match!
