Illinois: Miles of Mississippi

We took a detour on a small winding road that snaked the Mississippi River for miles and miles. Larger than large, wide, and seeming a lazy river with lily pads and marshes along its banks, boats gliding across its surface, and bridges zig zagging and criss crossing its waters.

Cool bridge! It's always fun to see something iconic like the Mississippi, and have it actually exceed your expectations.

Love that red bridge. And I haven't seen the Mississippi for years! Lucky you.

Hi Jamie Anne!

Thank you so much for coming for gelato last friday! Now I don't feel like a blog stalker (which is what I became after the swap)... i'm also loving that you're in UT because hopefully it'll bring more little get-togethers!
